Passport Help?! ASAP? |
Travel Info i am going 2 china and i am experiencing passport difficulties, and i was wondering if there was anyway i could speed up the process. i have already called the passport hotline and they all said something different. we called a person in the government and they helped my cousin but didn't help me and my sis. i know i can go chicago or someplace but there are NOOO appointments available.... ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED !!! thanks! Travel Tips might try your senator or representative as a last resort. without an appointment at a passport center, you would have to hire a courier or apply at a regular agent. time frame with expedited about 4 weeks, not counting the time to get a visa. good luck. Others You need to make contact with the office of your US Representative (Congressman) asap. Call the offices of both of your US Senators if you don't get immediate attention from the office of your Representative. Alright, i was in the same bind, i leave in less than two weeks and havent gotten my passport after i had applied mid march. 1.This is what you gotta do, If you can call back the agency, youll be on hold forever while they go through each day, but keep trying just in case someone cancels or something pops up, try the morning and afternoons, just keep hitting 2 to go to the next day. 2. Go online, get your passport tracking number 3. Go to the place you filed your passport. They can send an email to wherever your passport went for processing. Make sure to give them the number, helps them locate where it went. 4. GO SEE YOUR LOCAL CONGRESSMAN!!!! I cant stress this enough, This is what i did monday, got a call tuesday saing they had emailed them, got another call today(wednesday) saying its was being fedex and would be here tomorrow. Again give them the locater number, it saves them the hassle, make sure they know you are in a rush! Between the two emails and the backup emergency appointment you should be good to go. Does the first three letters of your locater number begin with 309? if so that indicates the south carolina passport center which as described to me as a black hole for passports. Just keep trying with the passport agency, i know the hold sucks, but you never know when something will open up! |
