Convince Parents to Change Vacation?

well a couple months ago, may 2007, i bought tickets to projekt revolution for august 22. my parents were okay with it and everything, they even paid for it.
but now my parents (it's june 2007) want to plan a vacation to california from august 15 to the 24th.

i want to convince them to go later or earlier, i just don't know how.

this concert is very important to me, it will feature my favorite bands and it might be my only chance to go.

Okay, well maybe you could ask them to go a week earlier so you will be back in time for your concert or you could go a week or so after you concert. You could look for a cool event that is either earlier or later that they would love and want to go to enough to change the time they go. Or you could tell them that you would really like to go with them and spend time with them, but already planned on going to the concert, so they could maybe change the dates. Good Luck!
