Which is a better trip for a 7 day Honeymoon? |
Travel Info A cruise to the Bahamas, or staying at a resort like Sandals in the Bahamas? Which usually cost less in the long run? Travel Tips I'd go with an all inclusive hotel deal. With a cruise, you have a little time in a few areas, but at a resort, you can make your own schedule and if you don't feel like doing anything one day, you don't have to miss something you really wanted to do. For $1 a jitney bus ride will take you where you want to go. You have to pay each time you get on, but you could ride all the way around if you wanted. Cruises may be cheaper, but I don't know if it's worth the Norwalk virus risk and not being able to make my schedule. Others A cruise will often cost more because the price generally does not include airfare, the bar bill on the cruise (this can add up VERY quickly). Also you have shore excursions that will cost you. An all inclusive like Sandals will cover pretty much everything if you stay on the resort. CRUISE! I love to cruise! You can't beat it. Cruise is always best if you want to do a lot of different things in a short time without much planing ..depends weather you want to spend a lot of room time or what. cruises have free room service The cruise - it goes places, whereas the resort goes nowhere. I'd save the cruise for another vacation and opt for the resort. Why? It seems people I know who have taken cruises for their honeymoon have said they were just exhausted - from the island hopping, sightseeing, etc. They couldn't fit in enough quality one on one time. And too, almost everyone I know that has taen a cruise has ended up seasick - what a way to spend your honeymoon! that's a toss up, check to see what activity's each have. not that you'll be out much |
