I live in Washington state - what is a good, cheap, fun weekend getaway besides Vegas or Canada? |
Travel Info My fiance and I want to get away for a fun weekend trip this month, but we don't want to break the bank either. We don't want to go to Vegas or Canada. Any suggestions? Travel Tips Well, I know this isn't the weekend getaway you are probably expecting. But I am still going to suggest it. Go to a town with a nice amusement park, hotels, malls and places you two would enjoy and can take up the whole day and restaurants. Doesn't have to be all in the same place like so, but close. Well, amusement park will take up the whole day, Saturday. Check into a nice hotel for you two to spend together and then Saturday go to the amusement park from opening until evening where you will then go off to a nice restaurant that evening. Get back to the nice hotel and then the next day do the sight seeing and shopping or whatever. I know it doesn't sound glamorous and all that but it takes up a weekend, doesn't break the bank, gets your outside and inside nice places, and on the Sunday sightseeing and experiencing new shopping places and whatever people do nowadays. I don't know. I think it is simple, practical and not out of price range as if going to Vegas or Canada. If anything, hope it sparked ideas. Others Go camping in the Olympics. |
