If you where a Hotel-B&B Manager, what would be the most usefull software you would like to have? |
Travel Info I'm Programmning a software for Hotel, B&B, ..... Managers. I Need the Top 5 Usefull tools that a Manager would Like to Have in a software. ex. How many Beds are know full and how many not. or how many visitors he had in the last month and from were? Travel Tips LOL, I tried to do the same thing what you are trying now. Develop my own software in VB and Access. But its not that easy. Being from computer software background I thought I would do a better job. I started with downloading around 8-10 different software from the net. Of the 10, the 2 I short listed were roomMaster (http://www.roommaster.co.uk) and the other was Ezee frontdesk (http://www.ezeefrontdesk.com) Both were quite good and to my expectations. So tried to take the best features of these 2 software. I then found out that it would take me at least 18 months to make something like that. So I gave up that idea. LOL Later I thought to purchase one of them. roommaster was bit better but it was tough to understand and costly. If it was me to operate I would have gone for roomMaster but for the desk clerks roomMaster was bit tough to understand. So the best second option was ezee software. The only concern here for me was that it was an Indian Company. But the price was around 70% less then roomMaster. So I gave a shot to it. I am happy to say that the decision which I took 2 years back was very good and I have no problem with ezee software since last 2 years, their support is great, saved a lot and got a good product too with new features every couple of months.... ;). Good Luck Mate Source(s): http://www.roommaster.co.uk http://www.ezeefrontdesk.com Other Travel Tips If I were a Hotel or BnB manager, I would come up with a software that would give statistics of the following: X Total Number of Rooms Per Night X Number of Rooms Occupied and Number of Adult/Child/Infant Occupants Per Room Per Night X Number of Rooms Unoccupied Per Night X Amount of Nights Average stay per Room X Dollars Average Spent Per Room Per Day they are guite expensive, do you have an accountant if so ask him what program he uses.that would be the ideal. I have made my own with word calender and it works Quite well. it deletes itself once the guests have left unless i program it otherwise (taxman) www.myegypt.co.uk |
