When it is alright to let your son go alone on the holiday? |
Travel Info My son will be 14 in May and he pestering me that he wants to go to Paris for couple of days with his friends (3-4 boys). I don't think it is a good idea. When it's OK to start travel alone without parents? We are in London. Travel Tips he wants to do WHAT at 14 & your considering letting him. Thhis is an absolute No No, he is way too young to travel UK on his own let alone go abroad. Be the parent that you are & explai to him why your answer has to be NO Source(s): Mum to 4 children ranging ages 13-28 Other Travel Tips I am pretty sure you need to be 16 to travel without a chaperone. I went to Great Yarmouth on my own when I was 17 - went abroad when I was 18. 14 is way too young 14???? He is far too young! My son is 16 and I would not even consider a holiday alone yet - maybe at 18 he will be ok. Your son is open to many dangers at that age. I doubt if travel companys would let them go without an adult anyway! Well Im a 17 yr old girl. so I recon 16 is an ok age for travelling round and all on your own, youre more inderpandant and responsible then (not saying your son isnt). but i know boys unfirtuantly lol =D yeah thats my advice. when he is grown up and has his own kids i wouldn't let my daughter go on holiday in another country until she was 18 unless i had been there before and i knew the area and the people that ran the accommodation where she was staying , there are some real weirdo's about these days Thats a very hard question to answer as a parent, i dont think there is a right age to let them go away on their own but we do have to let go how about on your son's 50th. It will give him somthing to look forward to. There are to many weirdos out there, good luck. |
