Everything about Italy? |
Travel Info Have any of you been to Italy in the spring or ever? What was it like? Was the food as good as people say it is? What did you wear down there? i am going very very soon and i am trying to prepare myself :] Travel Tips I went there at Easter 2004...so about this time. I had mixed weather, with some truely lovely warm days and some cold and wet days on others...so I guess take an umbrella (but you can easily buy little travel ones on the streets when it rains by sellers), a jacket and scarf just in case. I enjoyed the food, I had pasta i have never eaten bofore, pizza is a good buy...in fact there was no food I didn't like (and I can be fussy). Try Gelato!! Yum yum...I have some great stuff in Venice. Italy is so lovely....places can be very busy (I found Florence VERY busy...just prior to Easter) and its nice to find places without people everywhere (I "got away for it" in small places like Lucca (a mini Florence) and Montepulciano (a little village town in Tuscany) which were quiet and peaceful. The different cities all have a different feeling to them..ie Venice, Verona, Bologna, Florence, Siena and Rome, which I travelled to all had different things to offer (architechially and things to see). I recommend all of these for at least a short visit. I am not sure if you want places you have to visit or things to see....which there is a lot. I am not sure how long you have either. Others ferrari!! I had been it Italy many times. The cites are really nice, but i didn't like the beach so much because it was full with crabs. (but where you go maybe wont be any!!) Italian people like to dress up nicely, and its pretty hot there but i would bring like a light coat! The food is excellent! |
