Yes. 60 years ago? No. Ask this question in the Society category, you'll get more insight. um well awhile ago they didn't because in the world wars the french took away lots of the german land and the germans occupied france during the world wars. nowadays idk i don't believe there's any real anti-german feeling in france, even for the WW2 generation. but we make fun of them, it's a habit coming from the after war movies when the german nazis were always depicted like stupid guys to whom the french could always play tricks (see for instance "l'as des as" with jean-paul belmondo - 1982). Nowadays, we've got still many stereotypes about the germans, especially about their tourists (who are supposed to wear sandals with socks, for instance). Many of us also think that the german language sounds harsh and non-musical, once again it comes from all the wars we had with them. NO. I'm French so I will answer to that but I'm not the French people, just a French person...which usually is the way French people behave, individualistically... You cannot ask if French people do this or that because a French person will think the opposite of another French person. As a general rule, French people do not like anybody, even French people! I keep telling American people in Paris that no, no, French people do not hate Americans, they just hate everybody, do not take it personnaly. As far as the Germans are concerned, they are not very friendly anyway. They are so territorial, even if it's just a space on a Dutch beach or a lunch table at EuroDisney in Paris. Plus the German have an attitude like "we're better than anybody else" which is kinda annoying (ok, they make good cars...so what?) and they hit on their friend's wife (I know by personal experience). Plus they have an ugly sounding language and they're so loud and when you go to Germany, their kids play games at shooting at you and shouting "Eine franz枚sisch" or whatever. |
