Would it have been easier if she had known beforehand about the nudity at the beach? It's quite natural if you think about it. All of us have a body, they just look slightly different. Society has conditioned us to think that the human form is ugly and must be covered... this is simply not true. Also, nude beaches are often very family-friendly. My wife and I have been with our kids and never had a problem with anything that we didn't want them to see happening. Inappropriate behavior is simply not tolerated. You may see more sensuality on a clothed beach. We believe that teaching our kids to accept themselves as they are is important.

If you are certain that you do not want to visit a resort with a nude beach, try anything in the Bahamas, or several places in Mexico. Call ahead and ask the staff before you arrive about the dress code on the area beaches. Doing your homework before you arrive will help you to gain an expectation of what you'll see.

If on the other hand you decide that nude beaches might be OK as long as you're prepared beforehand, check out the resources published by AANR or the Naturist Society. Both groups have websites which will advise about recreation areas and what to expect.
