Tybee Island- Savannah Beach- are they the same place? |
Travel Info In the 1970's, we lived for a brief period, in what we called Savannah Beach. It was winter and the town was pretty much closed down- very few places open. I was looking to stop by there this weekend, and I only see Tybee Island which is right off of Savannah. It looks like the same route we took to where we lived. Does anyone know if Tybee used to be called Savannah Beach? Maybe we were calling it by the wrong name? Can anyone enlighten me?
