What to do in Gatlinburg Tennessee on my honeymoon? |
Travel Info My husband and I are going on our honeymoon next month and we want to know the best things to go see, the best places, to eat, etc. Any suggestions? Travel Tips Drive into the national park and stop in at Sugarlands visitors center. Then take a drive through Cades Cove (an 11 mile loop through a reconstructed Appalachian Community). If you like to hike there are some great trails in Cades Cove - I recommend Abrams Falls. If you like native American culture or casinos just take Hwy 441 across the mountains into Cherokee, NC (about a 20 - 30 minute drive). While there I would suggest seeing the outdoor drama "Unto these Hills" and visit the Cherokee Museum. Harrah's Casino is also there. Source(s): local resident - 40 years Other Travel Tips oh there's lots to do in that area...you MUST check out the ripley's aquarium...it's AMAZING. the other ripley's attractions are pretty cool as well. also, check out wonder works(i think it's actually in pigeon forge)..really cool interactive place. lots of great outlet shopping, hiking, and great food around every corner! you'll have a great time (wear comfy shoes!) congratulations! i got married & honeymooned there! Honeymoon...... ooooohhhhh la la! Take a tent and head up into the Smokies! There are campsites that you can drive to....not real private though.... or ones you can hike to......very private...... Have fun! |
