Indian trying to get UK visa for holiday.? |
Travel Info My boyfriend is from Goa and i want him to come here on holiday. Ive been told to write a sponsor letter for him to take when he gets his visa but dont know what i have to write! Has anybody done this before? Travel Tips Yes, its a bit difficult for indians specially those that are single to get a visa. The best thing for you to do is go to a solicitor they charge you about 10 pounds (now may be 20) to give you a form that has info about you income, your status in the UK (if you hold a british passport etc) details about your house like how many rooms (just to show that you will be providing accomadation) etc. you will also have to fax your boy friend a job letter and your bank statement (just to show that you are financially fit to sponsor some one to your country). and a hand written letter from you inviting him for a birthday or some such thing). All the best and enjoy. if not why dont you visit india (goa is a gorgeous place...take care.. I loved it when i was in the UK i also went thru a lot of hassle...to get there.. Others You'll need some immigration lawyer in the UK to process his case. They can help draft an invitation letter, which has to be submitted to the Foreign & Commonwealth Office in UK for attestation. This letter will be faxed to the nearest British High Commission/ Dy.High Commission or any other UK consular office. A copy has to be carried by your BF when he applies for a visa. There are however no guarantees that a UK visa will be granted despite such paperwork since applicants are interviewed and consular officials are authorized to reject cases they suspect as prospective migrants. travel writer |
