My daughter is 4 but her passport was issued when she was 1? |
Travel Info Obviously, she now looks completely different from her passport picture - can she still travel on the same passport or do we have to pay for a new one? Travel Tips I work for an airline and this will be 100% fine just go to the checkin desk as normal!! Enjoy your hols!! Others I think children's passports are good for only 5 years for exactly that reason. It'll be fine. It'll say on the passport; it'll have a validity date. I think kids' passports last for 5 years, so you're ok for a bit yet :-) depends when her passport expires i traveled with a passport with a picture taken when i was 1 and i traveled with it until it expired when i was 9 Same with my 2 daughters. My youngest is 4 and looks nothing like the baby photo in hers. My eldest was 6 months on her first passport and we used it fine until the five years were up. They really don't seem to bother to be honest. I was worried as well, but I've had no probs. I think you will almost definately need a new one. It just goes by the expiry date. Some countries are making childrens' passports last shorter lengths of time now. My younger daughter got her first passport when she was about three months old! All you could tell was she was about the right age, and a girl. |
