Going to Maui!!? |
Travel Info Heading to Maui!! I am looking for recommendations on great sites, things to do, great places to eat etc.. Travel Tips *If you can, get a rental car and drive to the east side of Maui, a small town called Hana. The roads wind this way and that way and it goes through the rainforests and you can find springs to swim in. *Definitely, the Old Lahaina Lu'au. (everything awesome is on the West Side of Maui anyways... mostly) *Go to Hale'akala (it's a dormant volcano) you can bike down it, or sit at the top of it and watch the sunrise. *Front Street (in Lahaina) is a strip of shopping in downtown Lahaina right next to the beach that has a bunch of restaraunts. Go to Kimo's. *At the Ritz Carlton, if you're a music lover, there are "Hawaiian Slack Key" Concerts every Tuesday at the Ritz Carlton in Kapalua *Go sailing and snorkeling on boats such as the "Trilogy" but there are others. They provide lunch and tour you on the coasts of maui. Some boats have slides and you can see all kinds of under water wild life while snorkeling. *Visit the winery in Ulupalakua *Big wave surfing, Windsurfing, and even kite boarding can be watched from ashore Ho'okipa *Lay on the beach in Ka'anapali. At the north end of the beach in front of the Sheraton Hotel, there is a point called black rock that people swim out to and climb and dive off. It's pretty fun *Find a surf school, there are a bunch in Lahaina and they're all fine. Go surfing! *Eat at the Feast at Lele at 505 Front Street Others Then you need a good travel agent. A good travel agent will book your trip and your excursions to tailor your trip for you. Also they will explain to you which resort has resort and parking fees so there will not be surprises when you check out. Not to mention the beaches in Maui are small and some are better then others. FYI: The best luau in Maui is the Old Lahaini Luau. You will need to pre book that. Aloha! |
