Travel Tips
A student ID is not an acceptable form of identification.

You need either a federal or state issued ID card: Passport, drivers license, military ID, or other government issued ID card.
Others
State ID just says your an adult and who you are.
Student ID says your a student.Minor.
This question is asked 3 times a day. And wrong answers are always given. YOU DO NOT NEED A STATE OR FEDERAL ID if you are a minor traveling with your parents or if you parents check you in and take you to security. Again, if you are under 18 years old and live in the United States and traveling domestically you do NOT need a state ID. How can airlines and airports and the TSA expect a 13 year old to have a state issued ID besides for a passport? But you should not take your passport on domestic travel. So again, you will be fine using you School ID if your under 18 and with your parents. Actually you don't even need any ID if you are under 18 and with your parents. Minors are not required to have ID.
