My dream is to travel the world someday. Are there any recommendations of where I should go first?

I am English and live in the US. A few years ago, I traveled Europe and went to 10 countries in 12 weeks. Luxembourg is great, Belgium is nice too especially Antwerp, I'd give Ghent a miss, Paris is a must see and my favorite place was Zurich, I loved Switzerland and would live there if I could. Germany is nice too and I really liked Frankfort and Munich. England has so much to see, Brighton, York, Manchester and the West Country if you want to avoid the more touristy London, Bath and Oxford.
Also it's way cheaper to get a flight to England and then catch Ryanair flights to mainland Europe. Check out their website, they fly all over and the flights are like $20 one way - crazy prices.

Where do you live now? That might make a difference in terms of where you visit first.

However, I think everyone needs to see Hawaii, especially if you already live in the U.S. More specifically, I loved the island of Kauai, Hawaii. Buildings can't be taller than a palm tree, and there's only one small handful of traffic lights on the entire island. You're surrounded by natural beauty.... desert on one side of the island, lush rain forest in the middle.... mountains meet the ocean... snorkeling (and surfing) can be great....
I would start off with Mexico. They have so many beautiful places to see. First Stop Cancun and in Cancun you have many smaller cities like Tulum where you can visit some of the Aztec pyramids, then theres a beautiful I think is called Playa del Carmen. Then try out Puerto Vallarta, Mexico City, Acapulco.

Second stop is Europe. Don't miss out on Italy, Greece, France,.....so many places so little time.
Australia, as its so large and you can get to anywhere else in the world from there.
You should try Fiji Islands where you can travel alone and venture all over the places alone if you have nobody with you. The locals are great...very friendly people. Crime rate is very low. They have beautiful Islands surrounded with water and waters everywhere. Everything is affordable too. From hotels to foods... perfect getaway for everyone. It's paradise!. You better try it and experience the beauty of that Paradise!
