Vacations for seniors?

Travel Info
my grandfather cannot walk well, and wants to go on a vacation. is there any type of place that he can go where we don't have to push him around in a wheelchair? he can walk very short distances, but not more than 100 yards or so. He needs a good vacation, and he loves cruises. last summer we went on a cruise and we had to push him around in a wheelchair the entire time, which was hard, because everyone was busy. can the workers on the cruise push him around when he needs it? is there some place he can go? help!

Travel Tips
The best thing to do is to find a travel agent who has a Lifestyle Specialist certification in Accessible Travel. I have listed one source you can search for a travel agent close to you. Carnival and Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines offer accessibility options (wheelchair ready rooms, help with embarkation/debarkation, etc) they do not have the staff to help with a special needs individual while on the cruise. Another option would be to advertise for someone to help your grandfather while on the cruise (and possibly pay for their cruise) if it fits into your vacation budget. I am a travel agent (do not have the LS Accessible Travel certification yet)
