How are the electric Plugs in Delhi? (India) & Hong Kong?

Travel Tips
Hong Kong plugs are 3-pin 240V fused. Look at this Wikipedia article:

Hong Kong plugs are "type G (British 3-pin)".
Others
India -220 V appliances; 3-5 hole sockets
For India, if you can't find a proper adaptor for Indian sockets, use a European adaptor (unless you've got European appliances of course!). The two-pronged European plugs will fit into either the two holes at the bottom or the two holes in the middle. It depends from one socket to another. You may need to find a way to prop your plug into some sockets as they will be too loose. Take a surge suppressor for delicate electronics (laptop, ipod, mobile).

Unplug items when you leave your room or if the power goes off (and it will do quite often) or if the lights are flickering badly. When the power comes back on full force, it can surge quite heavily and cause damage to your electronics (even with the surge suppressor in place).

Never use a mobile phone while it is plugged into an Indian socket.
