Travel Info Is it safe to travel anywhere in the Middle East right now?? Travel Tips you mean is it ever safe 2 travel in the middle east nope sum times are safer than others i mite b safer than it was in 2002 or sumthin but still its far from safe Others Hey what happened in the middle east . I think every thing is good n normal. it issafe only Thanks to the Bush / Blair crusade against Muslims, it is no longer safe for US or British citizens to travel to the Middle East. You could just be unlucky. I was hoping to travel to one of the safer Arab countries but my contacts suggested that I keep clear until our troops get out of Iraq. Thanks to them both! Depends on what Middle East countries you decide to travel to. Examples: 1) Turkey............Fairly safe. 2) Israel.............High risk, suicide bombers can hit certain areas without warning. 3) Lebanon......Forget it!! 4) Syria.......Fairly safe, however this country is under what some people consider a dictatorship. 5) Iran..........You might be arrested for being a spy for the CIA. Country is a dictatorship. 6) Egypt........Somewhat safe. However, there are radical elements that might attack you for just being a Westerner. 7) Iraq..........Forget It!!!!!!!! Country still at war. You may not even be allowed in unless you have official government related business there. 8) Bahrain.......Fairly safe. 9) Saudi Arabia.......Fairly safe. However, the only way you can get into the country is have permission from the government there. 10) Kuwait........Consider safe. However, there could be radical elements in the country that can attack people without warning, that the Kuwait government might not know of. That is a few.................. i travelled to lebanon last month but i met a person who lived there,so he knew the areas etc ,it was an experience i will never forget because of the friendly people and the way they live,meaning they appreciate things that we westerners dont think about.The first few days were a little frightening as everywhere you go you have army road blocks and police but i loved everything about the country and the people i met,but i have to say that if you are a westerner everyone looks at you because at the moment no westerners venture out there but it is a lovely country and the people are brill. |
