Could you ever just leave?

By that I mean..could you just pack your bags and go. Head off into the sunset and just see what life brings. Join the circus maybe or get in your car and just keep going... Leave everything.

Yes I packed in my job, left most of my possessions and went to help start up a workers and housing cooperative in North Wales. It didn't work out but I liked the area and stayed there for 5 years.

Then the other year I put my notice in and went to the west coast of India and spent 6 weeks looking at place up and down the coast to look at the possibility of living there. It wasn't what I wanted and I realised there was no way I could live in such poor conditions, but at least I tried.

Well depends on my situation and status at the rate in my life I think I could just pack up and go but if your life where you are is fine It would be hard to do.
That's my plan as soon as the kids are out of the house.
That would be nice, but I have three kids!

I did! I left the UK 5 years ago to live on Greek Island with a bloke I had known for 18 months but technically I had only spent a few weeks with!!!! I took the risk and we went through some tough times, but we are now married with our first baby on the way. It's not easy though, and you really need to think it through before doing it, I gave up an awful lot to come here, and sometimes I throw it back in my Husbands face if we have a row!!

I had no idea how things were going to work out when I left, I wouldn't say I have a better quality of life, but I am with the love of my life so it was worth it .
Done it.
Sold everything we owned in UK bought a caravan and drove down to the Costa del Sol in Spain.
Been here nearly 4 years now and loving it. Best thing we ever did.
Sometimes though you do get a little homesick ?
Not realy homesick, but not been able to just jump in your car and go & visit family and friends. Thats what I miss.
