What can i do to keep my house secured?

i am taking a vacation for a week next friday and i want to know what do I do to keep my house secured. i know that i have to turn off all power and lock all windows and doors. anything else?

You could always go to Targert and get a timer and plug a lamp into it. The lamp comes on for a certain time at night 830-945 (or an hour) so it looks like someone is always home. Source(s): just a thought, you pretty much have the rest.

Get ADT...secuity system...free instrallation..40 dollars a month.
Well for starters, have a dog or not, it would be good to have a "Beware Dog" Sign, and have a reliable alarm system. Hope this helps.
