How far have you been? |
Travel Info I was tootling around Google Earth when I got to thinking. The Army has taking me a lot of places but what's the farthest I have traveled from my starting point in life if I looked in the four cardinal directions, North, South, East and West. And so here are my stats. What are yours? Started in Arizona, USA North - I have flown over the southern part of Iceland (63 degrees N) North - on the ground in Denmark (56 N) South - on the Island of Ohua in Hawaii (21N ) East - in Bahrain in the Persian Gulf (54 E ) West - also on Ohua in Hawaii (158 W) You don't have to list coordinates. Tell me, where you have been? Travel Tips I enlisted in the Army in south Texas, from there to Ft Carson Co. basic in Ft Leonard Wood, Mo., school in Ft Gordon Ga., then White Sands, NM, Camp Kishini Japan, Uijongbu, Korea, R&R in Hong Kong, separated back at Ft. Gordon. Then finished School back in Texas & went to Work for GSI (a seismic subsiderary of Texas Instruments) Then Sao Palo, Brazil, Maricaibo, Venezuela, North Slope of Alaska, Ployesti& Bucharesti, Romania, Valavlodstock, USSR, Hannover, Germany, Nice, France, Bristol & London, UK, Chuckle like most Amsterdam, Netherlands. Oops left out that little place just outside Buenos Aries... forget the name, but it was in the Jungle & had only a Church & a cantina that doubled as a whore house with the World's ugliest women. Hell I left out Hawaii, NY City, & many other places in the US, but reckon you are tired of this by now. I forgot to include Beruit, Lebanon. Source(s): Retired EE, that served time in the Army.
