I have a resident card could I travel to the U.S if my passport has expired?

I have a resident card and An expired Mexican passport.

I don't believe that you can however go to travel.state.gov and this should help you.

well if your in mexico u may not travel without a valid passport however if u get a new one you may come to the US
Most likely you won't be allowed to enter but I guess the mexican government is the one not going to let you out in that case.
If your resident card is a US "green card" (CBP551) then you don't need your Passport.

If the "resident card" is something issued by the Mexican Government (i.e., Cedula) then you are going to have an issue.

Your Lawful Permanent Resident Card is good for travel...as long as it isn't expired.
