Travel Info Who has been to both Singapore and Hong Kong? Im planning a tour, which is a better place to visit? Travel Tips it really depends on what you plan to do. i live in Singapore and i've been to Hong Kong (honest speaking, i want to move to Hong Kong!). both places are beautiful but shops in Singapore closes earlier than the ones in Hong Kong. Fashion labels get updated earlier in Hong Kong than in Singapore =( also, the language barrier in Hong Kong if you can't speak Cantonese. true enough, Hong Kongers do speak a little English but majority can't. there are many things to see and do in these both countries, depending on what you want to do, it's hard to say which is a better place to visit. can't really help much, sorry =D Others depends on what you are after. HK in more deep in chinese culture, a little more exciting interms of the street scape and night life. It has disneyland/ ocean park which is great for young kids. Possibly a little more difficult to get around for English speaking people than S'pore. Doesn't have GST so shopping may be less expensive than singapore especially for electronics. Hotel rates are similiar. SIngapore is safe, good mightlife and clubs for the yuppie types. Great for English speaking people, multicultural feel to the city which is extremely clean and less crowded than HK. Has a great zoo and sentosa for family types.... Both need a maximum of 3 day to cover before you get bored .....hope this helps. |
