Going to Ft. Benning Georgia?

My son has family day in 3 weeks is there any fun places to go in Georgia?

i would have to say you should go to plains to see where president carter is from and lives,and to go to hos boyhood home.Little providence canyon,lumpkin, is a nice experience for picnic.If you go to plains,you might as well go to americus and have a hot dog at Monroes,and if you have come that far you should go 15 minutes further and visit Andersonville and see the prison-camp there,ft.sumter.There is also a train ride between plains-americus -cordele called SAM short-line.In Columbus you have the river-walk,and that's all i know about Columbus except shopping.Warm springs is in pine mountains,where Roosevelt stayed.Callaway gardens is a great place in pine mountain.None of these are "fun",but interesting.When i have company from out of country,this is what i take them to around here.Macon has a couple of fun museums.It depends on how far you like to go.I suggest you contact the chamber of commerce in Columbus.Have a great time,and welcome to Georgia.
