anyone there just now? what temp is it at the moment- i go on 13th July to protaras? whats it like? things to do? me and my partner are 24. also any tips? money exchange is it best with travellers chqs or take debit card and lift cash??

Protoras is a brilliant place, i've been there 6 times due to having friends living there and have considered the move myself. (still am)

You have a fairly new resort compared to many other places so a lot is fresh and clean, all on one FLAT main road of bars, restuarants, etc so it's very easy to get around rather than steep hills like many places are.

You have everything you want right there with a few clubs but here proabably the best bit, and that's you have Aiya Napa just down the road.
The advantage is you have all the massive clubs, the mental bars, foam parties, etc a few minutes away and not right next to your hotel.
There is the odd club in Protarus but not many which means all the loonie and loud hard clubbers (who are emptying out last nights dinner on the pavement) stay in Aiya Nappa.
You have the best of everything, the beach is brilliant, the restaurants varied from fast food to cracking flambe restaurants, loads of bars, etc.

There's a restaurant called Marios (white frount, owner stands out frount giving fruit to apssing children) and for me it's the best place in Protarus.
Lots of cash machines that take our cards.

The only down side is that it can be expensive compared to many other places, Cyprus just isn't cheap to take as much as you can and watch how much your spending.

I've been all over the world, the US, Dubai, the Far East, etc and Protarus is one of the few places i've been where i'd move to.
