Cozumel, Mexico?

My bf and I are thinking of going to Cozumel in August...can anybody tell me anything about the nightlife there, if any? Bars, Clubs (ages of majority of people)...anything helps. Is it worth visiting?

Cozumel is great place to vacation, but the nightlife can be so-so, it all just depends on how many cruise ships are in and how many people are on vacation.
I would say the most popular place is Carlos & Charlies and Senor Frogs. If there are alot of people on the island, these places are generally packed and tons of fun. They play a variety of dance music, from currently popular to 80s stuff, and have a party leader type person who keeps the energy level high....
Another pretty cool place we found is Tequila 1.5(http://www.1punto5.com/ or http://www.discoverycozumel.com/nightlif... I haven't been since the place was rebuilt following Wilma (from what I understand it was completely destroyed as it is on the water), but two years ago , we went here quite frequently on our trip.
To be very honest, we went in August last year and the nightlife was pretty dull. We typically go in May/June and there are alot of people out at night.
Cozumel is wonderful though...I'm a diver, so I don't go out for late nights too much anymore when I'm there...there are alot of other things to do there...the shopping is good, the snorkeling is great. If I were you, I'd try to get certified as a diver before going because it is an amazing experience. There are also Mayan ruins on the island, several national parks, and the windward side is beautiful (be sure to stop at Coconuts if you go).
