Where Should I Move to: Miami or Los Angeles? |
Travel Info The reason why I am asking this is because I want to begin an acting career. From what my cousin has told me, she says that my best choice is Los Angeles (and yes, I know, living there is very pricey), only because Miami is for modeling. But, I want to ask the people who actually live in that area and maybe can give me a little background information on how much it costs to rent apartments, the best colleges in that area, etc. The person with the best answer gets 10 points! Travel Tips I do not want to lean towards a particular city. But since you want to have a career in acting, I would definitely recommend LA. It is not about being schools, but it is about getting an opportunity as a work experience. You can do internships in studio and get professional contacts which can go a long way in eventually landing an acting career. As for living expenses. LA is way higher than Miami and just remember it takes longer to drive everywhere and gas is more expensive. I dont know how accurate these are, but it should give you an idea. As for fun , it depends on what your idea of fun is. Both areas have plenty to offer. But overall Cali is more expensive and that is something you have to keep in mind. Overall I would move to LA if your career is more important and cost is not that big of a factor. But if cost is a big factor, university of miami has a very good acting program. I hope this helps. If you are raising a family or something i would recommend Miami because well DISNEY is close by and they won't be tempted to run to Vegas for a night. |
