Doesn't it suck that the dollar is worth less than the Europ and the Pound? |
Travel Info Its expensive to go to Europe. When I went to England I bought a Burger King Whopper Value Meal and it was 8LBs, I figured the exchange rate was about $1.25 a pound, but after I bought it I went to exchange some currency and they sold me the pound for $2.15 a LB (It was like $1.89\lb but they added charges to exchange it). As soon as I saw that I had buyers remorse. I couldn't beleive I had just spent about $20 for a whopper. I immediately got on a plane and went to France instead. The exchange rate is not as bad when you exchange for Euros. Travel Tips It's only goin to get worse. Ben Bernanke has effectively signaled that he will accept a MUCH lower dollar, even if it means higher prices for oil, commodities and everything else (i.e. price inflation). A large round of inflation is the perceived as the only way out of the current problem (sub-prime loan meltdown, China holding large amounts of bonds, etc.) Others yeah now in Canada the US dollar to the Canadian dollar is almost the same |
