When is the best time of year to visit Scotland? |
Travel Info DH and I planning a trip. Want to go when the weather is mild but not overly rainy. Travel Tips i would say the summer august, thats when the festival is on in edinburgh and thats a great experience. the weather is milder, but the disadvantages are the midges which i understand become unbearable in some places. for the unitiated a midge is a tiny biting creature similar to a mosquito. Others I would say April or May - before the midges come out - they get everywhere!!!! I was there in June and it was absolutely beautiful! No rain, clear sunny days that were warm, and the nights were a bit cool. Couldn't have been more perfect! June, July and August. If I tell you will you take me? 8^) |
