Mum visiting UK?

Hello,
My mum needs to visit uk for 3 months from India. and after a gap of 3 months she needs to be here with me for 6 months for helping out during my 'delivery time'. I'm on a work permit working in uK.
Can anyone throw some answers on the Qs below pls.
a) What type of Visa she needs to apply in UK embassy in india?
b) What is the longest period of UK visa issued to her ?
c) can she apply for a visa ( second time) after a 3 month gap and will she get one without any problems?

Hi, My mother will also visit me when I am delivering my baby, but she only be here for 2 weeks so she will apply for 6 month visa. Your mother can apply 3 years visa (only 6 month maximum stay at a time). the longest period will be 5 years but only 6 month visit maximum at a time.
