Travel Info What's the most picturesque yet still reasonably priced village in the uk? Travel Tips Llanidloes, powys, mid wales, beautiful and friendly, yet economic. Others rosemarkie on the black isle in scotland. or possibly plockton on the west coast too many cracking wee villages in scotland to name kinghorn, burntisland and aberdour in fife, scotland i think they are nice places but there is proberly a lot more nice places trumpton or camblewick green Great Braxted I have to agree with Tartanbeastie, some of the villages on the west coast of Scotland are beautiful, not in the same way as the Cotswold villages of England, but the scenery and settings are magnificent...most people associate Scotland with freezing winters, but I have some cottages on the West Coast and with the influence of the Gulf Stream they have a warmer climate than inland areas of Southern England...The house prices 10 years ago were incredibly cheap, but with all the relocation programmes on TV the prices are going up, but still cheap in comparison to the rest of the UK this one lol |
