What do schillings, pounds, guineas, and pence equal in U.S. money?

Travel Info
What exactly are each of those values in terms of dollars and sense for say, 1 schilling or 1 pound?

Travel Tips
Shillings are no longer used anywhere, as they became obsolete in 1971.

Guineas are only used in livestock markets, where 1 guinea = ~拢1.05 = ~$2.10.

Pounds and pence are now different to what they were before decimalisation in 1971. 拢1 = 100p.

As a rough conversion rate, 拢1 = $2. If you want a more accurate conversion rate then go to http://www.xe.com

As of 1971, shillings and guineas became obsolete forms of British currency. The pound sterling is now comprised of 100 pence instead of 20 shillings/240 pence. Because shillings and guineas are obsolete forms of currency, they don't have a current exchange rate, per se. The exchange rate fluctuates daily (but these days it's hovering around 1 pound to 2 US dollars). For today's exact rate, check out xe.net.
