If it's anabolic steroids for bodybuilding, then that's illegal and therefore you are not allowed to import them . . . that would be treated in the same way as drug smuggling. Others Depends on the drug. You will have to check with Irelands laws. If they are not perscription then I wouldn't chance it. Are they illegal steroids or ones bought from a Mag? If they are legal then you may get away with claiming that they are a sports supplement and you are a bodybuilder. My brother is ADHD and when travelling abroad as a kid my mum had to get a letter from the doctor explaining about his medication. If steroids are prescribed I would imagine it would be similar thing. Get a letter from your doctor saying you need to take these drugs and the reason. Keep the drugs in your carry on bag and in the original container and you should have no problems. Travelling to Ireland from the UK is considered domestic travel anyway and there are very few if any customs checks or passport controls. I know I used to live in Cardiff and went to Dublin at least once a month. |
