Moving to UK or Ireland? |
Travel Info i live in the US and wish i could move to ireland or the UK. i would like to know if anyone from ireland or the UK can answer my questions about how can i move there. how do i find a job and a place to live. id like to start looking now. are there contacts or websites that i can go to. i am currently a child social worker. whats the pay for something like that in London. help me out. Travel Tips First and foremost - i'd say come and visit first. Spend a couple of months here, visit different places - see where you want to live. Otherwise you could make the biggest mistake of your life. London is overrated in my opinion. Bath is a stunning city. Exeter is pretty nice Cambridge also. Bournemouth is a great large town with amazing beaches. Devon and Cornwall are great for the countryside and beaches. Never been to Ireland.. so i couldn't comment. (Northern Ireland and Ireland are two different countries btw, N.Ireland uses 拢's and Ireland itself uses Euros) But like i said - come and visit first!!!! Oh and it's very hard to get on the property ladder. Rent for a small 2-3 bed flat or house would probably be around 拢700 a month... not including bills. Although you can get much cheaper. And in London you can expect to have to pay around 拢900+ VISIT! Others I would avoid London as the cost of living is abnormal check the local press for jobs you can access these over the net, and you will need a visa to live in the UK also if you go to Ireland they use Euros in the south and pounds sterling in the north. i wish i can help but i can't sorry |
