Is it safe to travel to the UK right now? |
Travel Info So here's the thing...I am crazy scared of flying on an airplane because of crashes, etc....so since 9/11 I haven't even been on a plane for fear of terrorist attack. (I know, I know, that's crazy...but that's just how I am.) So somehow or another my boyfriend convinced me to go on this trip with him to Europe..we're flying into England and then going to Paris, etc... The question is, with the recent car bomb that didn't go off and the flaming car that drove into the scottish airport, is it safe for Americans to be flying/travelling in the UK? We're scheduled to leave in a few weeks. :-) Thanks Travel Tips I HIGHLY doubt anything will happen to you. It's pretty safe to travel even with events of today. The flight isn't scary, just keep in mind your ending result! I travel to England once a year if not more. Don't pass up the oppertunity...you'll live to regret it. If it's your time, it's your time...Atleast you'd be able to see another part of the world. Go and have a good time!!! Source(s): Personal Experience Other Travel Tips if it was not they would not let the planes in the air If I were you, I'd wait a while. To be honest i haven't even heard of the bomb that didn't go off and the schottish thingy.. To be honest..you would be extremly unluck to experience this.. If you are going to scared you whole life then you are never going get anywhere.. i can see why you would be scared.. but i don't think it is dangerous.. no body can predict the future.. After a big terrorist event..no one is going to try another stunt.. the same with a robbery..if i shop was robbed ..who would go there and rob it again the next day?? Be excited about going..!! You may be scared of flying.. but there are other things to be scared of just by walkign down your own street.. Enjoy your trip..have a great time!I i don't know what they women above me is talking about..! During the 2 gulf wars, numerous americans cancelled their trips to UK, including those 2 super heroes Sylvester Stallone and Bruce Willis. Get off your knees ad show some sand, after all we have endured 40 years of terrorism, the first 30 paid for by US citizens. |
