When transfering between flights in the UK (final destination Malta) do you have to go through customs? |
Travel Info Leaving from NYC and flying through Manchester on the way there... Heathrow on the way back... Travel Tips No you will not have to go through customs as long as you do not leave the transit area, if your transit time is long and you want to see some of each city then you will have to go through customs. But I would not recommend leaving Heathrow at the moment as the queues for security checks are bloody long and tedious. Malta is a great island go and enjoy, but be careful of the manic drivers. Others No you should not go through customs in the UK as you will stay in the transit area both at Manchester and Heathrow but you will when you arrive at Malta. Have a nice holiday. IT DEPENDS - if your luggage is booked right through and you have a single ticket for the whole journey then no you will not go through customs and will remain 'airside' - - if however you have two tickets for the journey and are maybe flying with two different airlines aand your luggage is not booked all the way through then you will have to go through customs. |
