How is England for travelers right now?

I'm going from the US to England and Scotland in 2.5 weeks for fun. What tourist sights have been closed due to terrorism? What should I do to be safe?

Also, I'm then going from Scotland to Barcelona. What's the best way for me to get from Scotland to Barcelona?

well - its no worse than before to be honest. Most tourist sites will have a bag check before you are allowed entry, but this is common across europe right now. Security at airports is tight but has been for over a year so just allow a fair bit of time if flying.
To be safe, just keep belongings with you, and keep an eye out for unattended belongings, and if you see anything inform someone.
Scotland to barcelona - best way is to fly. Look on skyscanner.net and put in dates and possible airports and it will sort out cheapest deals for you.

I can't think of anywhere that have actually been closed down - just increased security in general. Like at Wimbledon, they've installed massive concrete blocks in front of the gates in case a car tries to ram its way in. Bag checks are also more thorough everywhere that had them before.

All you will notice is a bit more security and a few more police around than is normal perhaps.

Apart from extra checks at airports etc we all carry on just the same as before - in fact only today the threat level was LOWERED one notch.

All that the recent events in London and Glasgow have done is to refresh peoples memories about the possibility of terrorist action and to make everyone a bit more alert than before - so if anything it is possibly safer in the UK now than it was a month ago .

We are all carrying on just as we did before - and I would strongly advise you to do the same.

As for getting from Scotland to Barcelona - book a flight - Glasgow airport is open - and there are other airports in Scotland anyrate.
There are no tourist sites closed due to terrorism, and you don't need to do anything extra to be safe. If we let the terrorists change the way we live are lives then they are winning.

As for getting from Scotland to Barcelona, then there are plenty of airports in Scotland, and none of them are shut due to terrorism (not even Glasgow)
