How long does it take from heathrow airport to the train station? |
Travel Info I want to make sure if I can catch the train after my arrival. Travel Tips Once you have cleared Customs you can walk to the 'Station' in a maximum of 15 minutes (and the only way to the station is to walk via subways and walkways) - but depending on time of arrival and where you are coming from it could take an hour+ to clear customs and immigration. BUT what train are you worried about catching, both Underground and mainline trains leave every few minutes throughout the day - although if you are arriving very late at night you may want to check the times of the last trains of the day. Others the station is at the airport so yes you can catch it. There are two "train" stations at Heathrow. The tube (underground / metro) and the Heathrow Express. Both run frequently. Heathrow Express is quick to London Paddington main line station but much more expensive than the tube. So it depends where you are trying to get to in London. Tube takes about an hour to get to Central London. The Heathrow Express takes about 20 minutes but unless you actually want to be at Paddington you will need to take the tube, bus or taxi to get where you want to get to. There is also a bus link from Heathrow to Victoria and stops on the way. Look up http://www.heathrowairport.com/... Depending which terminal you land into off your flight, it could take half an hour or so to walk to either of the train stations. First of all you have to clear passport control and pick up your baggage though. Can easily take an hour from actually docking aircraft to being on the train. |
