Would you rather live in America or the UK?

The US. I have this thing about the government telling me I can't defend myself against tyrannical government or common criminals, and disarming me. You should read the famous jurist Blackstone. He was British. Once upon a time, the British people had rights. The right to keep and bear arms is the linchpin upon which all other rights are derived, as if you cannot defend your rights, you effectively have no rights. It doesn't help that the per capita rate of violent crime in the UK is drastically higher than it is in the US (this became a serious problem in 1997, coincidentally when the UK decided it was a good idea to deprive their subjects of the inalienable right to keep and bear arms). Londonistan doesn't help either. I prefer not to live in a society teeming with radical Islamists. Radical Islamists I can't defend myself against, thanks to Parliament.

America because I already live here. I've never been to the UK so I don't know what it's like there.
I can't answer that question. It would depend the circumstances which brought me to the US or UK - job, girlfriend etc. It would also depend on whether I developed a cadre of friends and the sense of community I felt - the intangibles that make a place feel like home.
For the edification of several posters - Britain is a constitutional democracy - it is not hard to get info should you need it - though you don't have the constitutional right to ventilate people's guts with a handgun, as part of a 'well regulated militia.'
