Travel Info Just wondering if anyone goes there? I will be going there in Jan. of 2008, as an international student, and wanted to see what it was like. Travel Tips Preston. I lived in Preston for 4 years. You will like the town, the people and the university. The uni has undergone a massive expansion in the past three years, with lots of new buildings. There are plenty of international students so you will not be lonely. Since Preston became a City, a lot of improvements have been made to the place. The town has lots of shops, from really cheap to luxury. In fact, as a student on a small budget, you will be able to buy food/clothes/most stuff probably cheaper than anywhere else in the UK. Enjoy! And take a walk in the Lake district (1 hour drive away) but maybe not in January! Also not far from Blackpool (20 miles) and not too far from Liverpool or Manchester. |
