What is there to do in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg in the winter besides go to the shows or shop? What are the best places to go shopping? Any where to get great deals?

You didn't say if you were traveling with kids or not so I am going to give you the basic run down and you can decide what is appropriate for your traveling party.
If you don't have children...stay out of Pigeon Forge. There is nothing there that you can't see anywhere else. It is so commercialized. Gatlinburg is better but still tons of cheap tourist shops. They do have a ski resort called Ober Gatlinburg. I've only been there in the summer time when they transform it into a summer playground but we had a blast. Of course you have the Great Smokey Mountains if you like hiking. Go to the other side of the mountains into Cherokee, NC. It's beautiful over there. Enjoy your visit! |
