Thinking of taking entire family on cruise, including five children ages 2,3,5,6 and 10 yr. old. Suggestions? |
Travel Info Something where children would be welcome, not be an intrusion upon honeymooners or people wanting to get away from 'children'. Travel Tips One word answer: DISNEY. It's not cheap, but it's the best for that age group and you will be pampered beyond belief. Others Try the Disney Cruises or something like that. They're REALLY family friendly - and they offer things for the grownups too. If you don't want to do Disney specifically, ask a travel agent for a comperable cruise. Try a cruise down the Nile from the high dam in Aswan to Cairo. Fabulous trip, endless sights to see, great food and lots for all the family including the last night fancy dress ball. The carnival fun ships are really great for family cruises. They have 24 hour dining, free room service, lots of options for what to do at the ports of call and tons of kid friendly stuff. Many have arcades, kid pools, play rooms, and movie theathers. I went on one in high school with a friend, and there were lots of kids. They all seemed to be having a blast. For parents, there's fine dining, show and musical productions, a spa, shopping, exercise deck... They're affordable, too. Carnival is a fun ship for kids and adults. So is the disney cruise. Those are the only 2 I can think of for children Try the Carnival Caribbean cruise Cruising is my favorite way to travel. I highly recommend Royal Caribbean. It has a great adventure program for kids that allow them to spend time with other children their age and the staff is excellent. The cruise itself is wonderful. I would also suggest a caribbean cruise with one of the larger ships either the voyager series that includes, voyager, adventure, mariner, explorer or navigator or the newest ships freedom and liberty of the seas (not till june 2007) these are the biggest ships on the sea and have lots to do. I would not recommend carnival while a cheaper options i felt it is compared to a dennys while royal caribbean is more of a mortons steak house. Whatever you choose though you can not go wrong.
