Mount Rushmore...have you been? Is it worth it? |
Travel Info I have always wanted to take a family vacation there, but it's such a long drive. Is there anything else to do while in the area? Travel Tips Yes! It's not amusement park country, just beautiful country. Best late spring. Others I think some of you are small minded. If you don't care, you're not American and if you think it's a 5 minute thing then leave then you are narrow minded, feel the pain? What are you on? You all need to grow.. Family huh? I am ten with a 7 year old sister. I have not been there but I think it would be pretty cool. it does honer our presidents of the past. Ive never been and I dont plan too. It a mountain with heads carved in it. Heads of people I dont even care about! Mt. Rushmore is a travisty. To carve this monument in the Lakota's most sacred land is an embarassment. The land is scared and you can feel the pain when you are there. Gieco man is right go see the Crazy Horse memorial and little big horn skip Mt. Rushmore. There is absolutely loads to do in the Black Hills area as well as seeing Mt Rushmore. Its a great place to take a family vacation. |
