Anyone from Springfield IL? If so, how hard is the town to navigate?

I have to go to Springfield tomorrow to take a test for a government job. I'm in Bloomington, but I have only been to Springfield 2 times my whole life. Once when I was a little kid. I'm nervous to drive around alone. Anything I should know?
