Where is the best place to live in the North East?

Travel Tips
I'm from Connecticut.
It really depends what you are looking for.
If you are looking for somewhere quiet, the further north you go the better.
If you are looking to make money, Boston, Hartford, and CT's gold coast (Stamford, Norwalk, Greenwich) are the best, but your living expenses will be through the roof.
If you like the shore, Eastern CT, Rhode Island, and the Cape are wonderful.
And finally if you want to mingle with the artsy crowd, Western Mass, Boston, the Cape, Litchfield County CT, and Southern VT are your best bets.
If you need any more info, especially on CT, feel free to drop by my 360 page.

I used to live in Central Massachusetts. Absolutely loved it there. Any of the New England states are great.
avoid the northeast go down south or out west trust me its a lot more fun
I live in Rhode Island, it's centrally located to Mass, CT and NY...you can drive through the state in an hour... tons of beaches and Providence is a up an coming city. It's small, but there's always tons to do!
I live in NYC and head up to New England pretty often. Boston and Providence, RI are my two favorite places.

Both are very historical, but also progressive!
