Planning motorcycle trip from South Florida to Binghamton NY? |
Travel Info Any help here with tip or references. All is welcome. Thanks Travel Tips I am guessing you will go up Rt 95 to the NJ TWP. into NEw York and bear north. Avoid the Washington DC area from 0600 to 0900 and 1500 to 1900 hrs (6am to 9 am, 3 pm to 7pm). Same for Baltimore MD but you can thin it down on each side a little. Rush "hour" here will eat up you bike for no good reason. If you get stuck here during those times plan on eating or sightseeing and sit it out. If you plan on taking a long trip, there is lots to see in these areas, too much to list really. If you want a nice side ride, get on the BLue Ridge Mt parkway and ride it north from where ever you want to get on it and it ends at Front Royal VA off Rt 66. Then follow 66 to DC and get back on 95. That is a view on the mountains worth the detour and time. As you did not give a timetable I would guess your trip at 3 days easy riding, 2 hard.
