Naples is a beautiful place to live, but hurricane season is hurricane season. You can't predict when and if a hurricane is going to come through. That's a risk you are going to have to take if you live down there. I lived in Orlando for 10 years, and we never had problems w/hurricanes. In the past couple of years, our friends (that still live in Orlando), had to deal w/boarding up their houses several times, and dealing w/the damage that hurricanes cause. If you do decide to live there, just make sure you are properly insured and make sure you are mentally prepared to deal w/the aftermath of a hurricane. |
