Cheapest place to buy a home.?

Where is the cheapest place to buy a home with little or no crime.Jobs pay decent.That's not some small country town.

We live in Clarksville, TN, about an hour from Nashville. Our town is about 100,000 people. Decent jobs here or good ones in Nashville if you commute. We bought a 4 bedroom, 2 bath, 1700 sq. ft. house 2 years ago for $100K and could sell it now for about $135K. My brother-in-law just bought a 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath house, about 1300 sq. ft. with lots of updates for $105K last month. It is an up and coming area, due a military base and proximity to Nashville. It would be a decent place to consider. Plus the weather is good, close to the big city, but also to the lakes and outdoor stuff to do as well. Good luck!

If you want to check out some cheap homes you can look on this website http://www.govsales.gov/html/index.htm... then when you find one, BEFORE you buy it, research the area (check out the local newspaper, call the local police office, ect) and if you like, buy!
