Can anyone out there tell me some first hand info about Dothan, Alabama? |
Travel Info I've done some research on my own but I'd like to hear what you like about it, the magnet schools( if you have children that were able to get in), activities for young kids, librarys, parks, Kelly Springs School, and such. Any first hand info would be great. Thanks, Andre'a Travel Tips I've stayed there for about six months total during the times I've worked there. It's a small place but it has a lot of stuff there. It has loop all the way around the city with the old part of town in the middle and all the modern stuff on the loop. They have a nice mall, movie theater and a lot of restaurants and hotels. I didn't notice any parks there nor do I know anything about the schools. Panama City Florida is just south of Dothan, probably an hours drive or a little more. Others I beleive there is a correctional facility there, small Southern town. Have fun. I live in Tuscaloosa, just a few hours away. I have no first hand knowlege but I have heard really nice things about the area from friends who have lived there. I actually considered moving there myself, but am unsure because I want to go north near my hubbys family. Im sorry Im not much help, but I cna tell you that those I know from there really liked it and only moved away for college (UA). Good luck! another southern belle I've visited there several times on business, and I've found it a surprisingly nice smaller Southern town. Decent restaurants and only an hour and a half from the beach. |
